YOUR GUiDE T0 THE YEAR IN SCiENCE : 2010

   1. I chose an article about NASA's Chandra X-Ray Observatory Captures Star Torn Apart by Black Hole. This article talks about an observatory taking a look at a star that has been ripped apart  by an intermediate-mass black hole in space. This falls into the Space category.

   2. I don't really think that it is a big deal to know about this only that I though that it was fascinating to see that stars could actually be ripped apart by a black hole and still exist. Probably in the future the black hole that are formed maybe all of the stars may be ripped apart and then the stars are going to loose the uniqueness, shine and many more extravagant things about them.

   3. Probably nothing is going to occur this year of 2010 but possibly things might occur in the near future.

   4.  I am not quit sure of what were some of the obstacles during the process of while the star was being ripped.

   1. The next article that i chose was about contact lenses that change color when your glucose levels get higher or drop. This would fall into the nanotechnology category.
   2. I think that this topic is very interesting because for the people who are diacbetic it would be very helpful becuase they would not have to worry about bringing their glucometer with them everywhere.
   3. Probably since this invention is new nothing might not happen to it but i am pretty sure that in the near future something might go wrong with it.
  4. I am not quite sure what were the obstacles and setbacks of this invention.

TiME TRAVELERS REFLECTiON

Project Description:
-    What was the assignment? Describe it here.

The assignment was to learn about a specific civilization. For example I got Ancient Athens .  In this project we had to do a research paper about a specific pillar that was decided by the group and each person had a different pillar to write about another example was that i got Art & Architecture and in the research paper we had to write why was that pillar so important or non important to your civilization. Then we had to draw and then paint something relevant to your civilization and your pillar .

Process:
-    What steps did you take to get to the final product?
I had to take many steps to my final product of my research paper. The most important thing to that was the drafting and revision and following the format that the teacher had gave us.

Reflection:
-    What did you learn?
I learned many things about the art and architecture of Athens and how it was used in that civilization.
-    What challenges did you encounter?
I think that a challenge that i encountered was compelling all the information into one piece of writing for my research paper.
-    What would you do the same or different?
I think that i would change my research paper so it could be more thorough and could make more sense and so everything can flow through.
-    How will this help you later?
It would help me a lot in the future when i am in a higher grade level in High school and would also help me when i proceed to college.

Artifact:
- A physical piece of evidence that shows the project and its components.
