YOUR GUiDE T0 THE YEAR IN SCiENCE : 2010

   1. I chose an article about NASA's Chandra X-Ray Observatory Captures Star Torn Apart by Black Hole. This article talks about an observatory taking a look at a star that has been ripped apart  by an intermediate-mass black hole in space. This falls into the Space category.

   2. I don't really think that it is a big deal to know about this only that I though that it was fascinating to see that stars could actually be ripped apart by a black hole and still exist. Probably in the future the black hole that are formed maybe all of the stars may be ripped apart and then the stars are going to loose the uniqueness, shine and many more extravagant things about them.

   3. Probably nothing is going to occur this year of 2010 but possibly things might occur in the near future.

   4.  I am not quit sure of what were some of the obstacles during the process of while the star was being ripped.

   1. The next article that i chose was about contact lenses that change color when your glucose levels get higher or drop. This would fall into the nanotechnology category.
   2. I think that this topic is very interesting because for the people who are diacbetic it would be very helpful becuase they would not have to worry about bringing their glucometer with them everywhere.
   3. Probably since this invention is new nothing might not happen to it but i am pretty sure that in the near future something might go wrong with it.
  4. I am not quite sure what were the obstacles and setbacks of this invention.

THE LOCKER PROBLEM

When me and my group had finished figuring out the answer for the locker problem we had at last said that there were 31 perfect squares in 1,000. There are 31 perfect squares because 31^2 = 961 is the largest that can fit into 1,000. When we were figuring this out we had tried 32^2 but it had came out to be larger than 1,000. When me and my group had saw that only 31 perfect squares could fit into 1,000 we were very impressed.

Locker Numbers # 1 # 2 # 3 # 4 # 5 # 6 # 7

WHAT DOES MATH LOOK LiKE? *WELL i REALLY DONT KNOW HOW EXPLAiN HOW MATH LOOKS LiKE MATH HAS NUMBERS AND SHAPES ETC. WHERE DO YOU FiND MATH? *YOU CAN FiND MATH ALMOST EVERYWHERE. WHO USES MATH? *EVERYONE iN THE WORLD USES MATH.

WHAT iS PHYSiCS ? i PERSONALLY DONT KNOW WHAT PHYSiCS iS BUT i THINK iT iS LiKE DiSCOVERiNG KNEW EXPERiMENTS OR iMPROViNG EXPERiMENTS. ARE WE DOiNG PHYSiCS ? i THiNK THAT WE ARE NOT DOiNG PHYSiCS. WHERE CAN YOU FiND iT? iN EXPERiMENTS WHO USES iT? i THiNK THAT SCiENTiST USE PHYSiCS AND STUDENTS AS WELL.
